The Heat is On

Yeah, I mean, I was interested to see Augustana.

Usually these games, it's kind of like, you know, a bunch of new pieces trying to figure it out.

Augustana has 12 of the top 13 scores back from last year.

The Vikings have seven defensemen back.

Like they're all top seven of their demon are back.

So this was a team that really looks similar to last year.

There are a couple new pieces filtered in there, but it is not, you know, in this day and age with the portal and guys turning pro, which they did have because Josh Kotai signed with the Islanders and he was sensational in that for them.

But I'm just used to seeing so many rosters look so differently and this one just doesn't.

So it was interesting seeing them come back and

I'll just interrupt.

Trent Singer for Sioux Falls Live had a really good piece on that senior class, too.

I don't know if you had a chance to read

that yet.

I don't think I saw that one.

He's had a bunch of pieces recently.

Yeah, it's a good long read on the senior class and how they've, I mean, that's the first class of Augustana hockey.

So

I

encourage listeners to check that out.

But go ahead.

Yeah, I saw a lot of what we saw last year.

Augustana is a team that is going to the Vikings just don't allow much.

They defend really well.

They don't give up free odd man rushes too often.

They ended up losing 4-1 to North Dakota, and there was not a 5-on-5 goal in the game.
