However, the blizzard, for the first time in years, calmed down, uh, a little bit.

You know, it, it, it was still a blizzard with a big B, you know? But, um, calmed down just enough so that I managed to do a field trip to go see my, my buddy and desk mate, Alexander Voss, the captain.

And when I was there, I helped him to fix the Morse device so we can begin to talk again.

I also brought some, some snacks, something to drink, and, um, you know, I had enough time so that we could have a good stress-free talk.

You know, and of course the, the hydrogen bomb.

[chuckles] And when I handed it to him, he said, "This will do just fine," and then he put it under his desk.

So I told him, you know, "I, I, I hope you're not planning on blowing yourself free from the desk, you know? I think a precision tool like a handsaw or electrical jigsaw would be more suitable for that task, you know?" But "No, no, no, no, no," he assured me.

"It's, it's for a friend." You know, a friend? I mean, of course he has friends.

You know, Alexander Voss is pretty cool, but who? Who is it? [chuckles] I didn't ask that though.

That felt a bit rude because if he wanted to tell me who his friend is, he would have.

So I just said, "Just be careful with it, you know? It's a pretty potent piece of explosive," I told him.

But he told me not to worry.

He said, "My friend is one of the best," he said, and then he changed the subject by asking me how I had been.

"Well, I've been doing good," I told him, you know, considering.

I told him all about the red door, uh, about Thomas Grind, to which Alexander told me that, "It sounds like Thomas isn't telling you the whole truth." To which I wholeheartedly, uh, agreed.
