[upbeat music] Welcome to Coded Conversations from SNOMED International, the only podcast that focuses on all things SNOMED CT.

If you're new to the space, SNOMED CT is a global clinical terminology used in healthcare and medicine.

A standardized way to represent and encode most clinical information, SNOMED supports interoperability among disciplines, health systems, and countries globally.

Our Coded Conversations podcast showcases SNOMED experts and guests as they explore the terminology topics that matter the most in digital health today.

I'm delighted to welcome Peter O'Halloran, Chief Digital Officer at the Australian Digital Health Agency, today's guest on Coded Conversations, the podcast that focuses on the role of clinical terminology and interoperability.

So setting the stage for you a little bit, uh, the Australian Digital Health Agency is Australia's member to SNOMED International and serves as the country's SNOMED CT National Release Center.

The plan today, we are going to speak to Peter about the role of the agency in enabling interoperability across Australia, the landscape that makes it possible, and how the expo will serve as a bit of a way to engage stakeholders and visitors into this really vibrant environment.
