So I know the first question coaches are, who are listening are going to have about this is tell me about your coaching niche and how you got into it.

I was always someone who drank too much, and by the end of my 20s, as I was looking for help, I really struggled to find anything out there that was a good fit for me because I wasn't this rock bottom drinker.

And when I looked around for support, it was either, okay, go to rehab, which I didn't have the thousands of pounds for, or go to AA meetings.

And I don't wanna throw any shade on AA, but I did go, and it wasn't a good fit for me.

So to fast-forward through a very long story, I did stop drinking, and then I weirdly did an online course in something completely different.

And I had this idea, oh, why isn't anyone doing online courses for quitting drinking? Is it ...

And I had this idea, yeah, you could have a kind of video program and some kind of community and the opportunity to speak to a coach.

And then, I don't know, I think the world works in mysterious ways, but I ended up applying for and winning a grant to get The Sober School started, and then I had to do it.

And honestly, I was on this train, and I picked up the newspaper that someone had left on the seat next to me, 'cause it's back in the days when people did read newspapers, physical newspapers, and that's where I read this article about this funding body.

And they were giving out small grants to people who had an idea for a socially-minded business.
