Most caregiver moms I know are caught up in what I call the exhaustion cycle.
it looks like we do everything for your child's medical needs we ignore our own needs emotionally physically because there is no space and we run out of fuel burnout creeps in and we try to push through everything that we can and we give from an empty place and sometimes we collapse we feel guilty and we want to start all over again Does this sound familiar? Well, I have been through this over the decades of raising my kids with chronic illness.
I hit a wall and I was that caregiver who did all I could, but at some point I reached my limit.
I hit a wall in there at moments when I was weak and I needed strength from God.
Isaiah 40 verse 29 tells us, He gives us strength and He increases the power of the weak.
Even though we grow tired and weary, He says, when we rely on Him, He will renew our strength.
So this is a turning point that we need to draw from the word that he is the one that would equip us and renew our strength when we are weak.
