When you think about recording your podcast this week, what emotion comes to mind? Does it feel exciting because you know exactly how it supports your business? Or does it feel like another item on your to-do list? I think this is one of the clearest indicators that something is off.

When your podcast is strategically connected to your business, it creates leverage.

It becomes a place where you're building trust before someone ever schedules a consultation.

But when that connection isn't there, your podcast starts feeling like work for the sake of work.

And it is something I see so often in podcasters, especially when I'm having conversations with people I've never worked with.

They don't know who I am and they're like, I podcasted for a minute, but it didn't really do anything for me.

There's so much that goes into it, but a lot of it was probably that their podcast was not an asset in their business.
