Sorry, I'm getting settled in here.

I have a show today that is not necessarily a capstone like the last one, but it's one where I wanted to myself and a buddy of mine are working on this.

I don't even know what you would call it.

I guess a training program.

And it kind of folds in what we discussed about living with the logos and following the example of Jesus masculinity.

But it's, I wanted to weave these two together before we start putting out some of the course material, because I think the most important thing to note about this is that we believe and philosophers have believed for a very long time, not that they are discovering something new per se, but that they're observing something true about the universe, right? I think that's true of This idea of logos in Greek philosophy, of the rhetorical triangle persuasion that we talked about, and of the four cardinal virtues that we just wrapped up in.

I think we are, in the same way that a physicist or a mathematician discovers theorems or laws, we're looking at at least partial laws of the universe from a let's call it a moral or ethical sense right um obviously there's work to be done and I think we get distracted from the work to be done quite often and that's an issue so I'm let's bring it back a little bit to the basics so maybe we can figure some stuff out now again We're going to start with this word that you've definitely heard before from me.

Actually, we discussed it together.

And maybe maybe i'm going to explain it again for somebody who's just starting today just to be clear this may be redundant for some of you folks who have followed the whole time but i want each one of these episodes to at least be um have enough information and where you can get a good sense of what i'm talking about without having to go back to the previous ones i do recommend listening to the previous ones but we've all got jobs and busy lives right so if this is your only time hearing it i want you to understand The word in question is logos.

It is Greek, and for about 2,500 years, some of the sharpest people who've ever lived circled that one word like it was the center of everything.

Today, I want to tell you what it really means and why I think it's the most practical idea you'll run into.

Not abstract, by the way.

I think it's very practical.
