oh spiritual abuse immediately I thought of there are many churches around around the world but we're just talking about the UK at the minute so there are many churches here where pastors are control freaks
right
and they they do tend to prey on the vulnerable the widows the widowers uh the single people but you know here you can do this you can do that you can do the other thing and the pylon off too much work on to them and some of these people can't say no i think that they shouldn't say no and i think that they say no they're going to be letting The whole church down.
And that's not the case.
So there is a spiritual abuse from there.
And that can be very damaging, very hurtful.
I love what you were saying earlier that some people have said that they've been hurt by other people, other congregation members, leaderships in the church, and they've left.
And yeah, I agree that if the people hurt them, then they never really had a good relationship with God because I'm a strong believer.
It's lovely if you go to a fellowship and you can make friends because it's nice to have friends, but when you look at it, we're a family, we're not friends.
And
a family is different than friends.
It's a different relationship.
And we
not to make friends.
It's not a social club.

that is so true i like that analogy i love that analogy that's a good one um and so when you're talking about spiritual abuse you're talking about people in position of spiritual authority taking the mickey almost from some of the more vulnerable members of the church family um and that that happens a lot i mean we've we probably all know or have seen it happen um i'm gonna come to you why do you think I mean, apart from the obvious, there are some of these...
