Hi guys.
Today I feel like it's the perfect day to go over this movie.
It's been raining all night.
I'm kind of scared of these possible tornado weather conditions.
What else am I scared of? I'm scared of the heartburn that the burrito I just ate will give me.
I'm scared my cat is gonna sleep on my head again tonight and keep me up the whole night like he did the last two weeks.
If anyone knows what that is, can you please tell me in the comments? Because I'm getting a little alarmed that I have something going on in my brain that only AJ can smell.
And then he has this movie, which also came out the same year.
Kind of impressed that he was able to juggle two movies.
But despite all of this work, I know people did not really like how this movie came out.
To me, I'm going to call this movie The Mummy because it's really annoying having to say Lee Cronin's The Mummy.
So just for the sake of this episode, I'm so sorry.
I do know a lot of people disliked this movie.
There are glaring issues in it.
There is very difficult dialogue.
We have some acting issues from some of the characters.
But I do think this movie does require two watches.
We have someone on here who I know is a listener and I will not out them.
But I do know that they really liked the Joker 2 and they said that it's a overhated movie and that it will be loved in time and unfortunately I think this movie is the same reasoning I do understand that there are major issues I will point out everything that I disliked about the movie But also take my opinion with a grain of salt because I'm a self-proclaimed critic.
I did not go to school for film.
I watch a lot of movies and I just started a podcast because I talk a lot.
There are intense scenes of gore.
So if you do not fuck with skin peeling, toenails coming off, grandmas being eaten, mummies, nuclear families, this movie is not for you, unfortunately.
Thanks for sticking around.
If you do, I will try to be brief in my synopsis.
I'm going to talk about major, major spoilers, so hopefully you have seen the movie or don't want to watch the movie.
I have heard that if you get spoiled for things, you are a certain percentage, I don't remember, more excited to watch said thing or partake in said thing.
That's why I let Hannah tell me spoilers for everything because...
I know if I know things about the movie, I'm going to be a little bit more excited to see how it all pans out in real time.
So perhaps that's you as well with this movie.
Originally, I did give it like a two star.
I think when I rewatched it today during work, I bumped it up.
Not a star.
Half a star.
I also don't think star ratings make any sense because...
I love certain movies that people hate.
Absolutely, that is an opinion one could have.
That is not an opinion everyone else has.
But I'm not going to judge a movie based on its Rotten Tomatoes score, especially because of the amount of times I've watched World of Worlds with iced tea.
I didn't like that movie, but I still watched the movie.
