How are you?

I'm doing well, thank you.

I wanted to jump into looking back on your fertility years.

So you've been a mom now for several years, as I understand.

And when you think back to the woman who was trying to become a mom, what would surprise her most about where you are today in this season of life?

Probably that I'm more capable than I give myself credit for.

We can do hard things and we do that all the time.

And we just don't realize like, We can do the things once we're faced with any challenges, like

we just figure it out and conquer the day.

The we can do hard things is a quote from Ms. Rachel, right? And I always say that to myself too.

It's like, you can do hard things.

Didn't know that's where it came from, but I'm glad I could borrow it.

It took several years, about seven rounds of fertility before you became a mom.

Looking back on that now, does it all feel like it was worth the wait to get to this point of motherhood?

Absolutely.

In the moment, of course, it feels like this is never going to happen and so much time passes.

But now that it's behind me, it's like, whoa, there's so many other things to do.

But in the moment, it felt very difficult.

it's an emotional rollercoaster.

You go through all of the different feelings that you could possibly imagine and you try not to get your hopes up as you're going into it, but it's hard to not do that, right? Because you want to be hopeful and you want this to work out.

And it's just, we don't realize all the things that go into the challenges of fertility until we're in it.

Right.

Absolutely.

And you learned so much that you never thought you'd had to know about this process.
