Join the Hannah and Paris as they dive into a world of letter writing, grief and healing in 'The Correspondent' by Virgina Evans. Sybil Van Antwerp’s collected letters span over five years…
It's a really recent book.
It tells a story through a collection of letters and email correspondence over the span of a few years collected by Sybil Van Antwerp, a woman in her 70s whose preferred form of communication is through letters.
She writes these to just about anyone and maintains regular correspondence with many people, forming
friendships and connections.
The book explores her life where the reader is able to piece together different parts of the story through the information disclosed in the letters, telling the story of her current events as well as getting insight into the life she has lived and the tragedy she has gone through.
Also, fun fact.
So the whole book is just letters.
Yeah.
Literally.
And emails, maybe.
But also, fun fact, this, I'm pretty sure, is a debut novel.
Yeah, I believe so.
Which is very cool.
Which is
quite impressive.
