Someone sent me a supplement in my DMs this week. It had 1,500 reviews and was £25 for 30 capsules, so £50 a month for her and her husband. I had a look on PubMed for evidence that it works. Turns out…
So the first-- So bit of context.
A sports science degree is multidisciplinary.
It's not, um, just one thing.
So we did anatomy and physiology.
So I remember one Thursday morning literally walking into a morgue, and we were dissecting human bodies.
We were looking at their muscles.
We were looking at their skeletons.
We were looking at dead people who had donated their bodies to students.
Um, so that's biology and a- bio- biology? Anatomy and physiology.
Biomechanics, which is all about, um, sort of how your body moves.
So sort of like you lift your leg up because the knee joint flexes, plantar flex- flas- plantar dorsiflexion 'cause your foot hits the floor.
Like that sort of thing, biomechanics.
Motor control, so that is how your body responds to, like, your mind.
So that is like, how can you write with your right hand completely fluently, but you can't write with your left hand fluently? That sort of thing.
And, um, anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, psychology.
How could I forget that one? Psychology.
So why we do what we do.
Obviously, that is my bag now.
And also, with all those, what we have to do in our first year, we have to do a module called statistics.
Can't even say it.
Maths.
[chuckles] I have to do-- We have to do maths, and you just had to pass the first year, and then you went on to the second and third year, and that was-- The second and third year was what determined your grade, whether you came out with a first, a 2:1 or a 2:2, or a third degree.
I am still 18 at that age.
I'm still 18, actually.
