Because if you've been in that cycle for, well, years, and I'm going to put it out there, decades, and I've seen women who've been in it for decades, then you've read all the books, you've downloaded all the apps, you've followed all the white people, you already know all the information.
Information isn't the problem.
Actually having too much information is the problem.
What you don't have yet is a different relationship with food and that is what this episode is all about today.
You see when I was a PT, face-to-face PT, I would get women who came to me and we'd always have like really good detailed conversation, well conversation, consultation and and she'd come to the right that I want to fit into my clothes better I want to be fit for 40 fit for 50 I want to um run after my kids I want to lose some weight that's what I want to do so Then get them in the gym, get them in the gym, get them working out, get them moving.
And week in, week out, they were coming to me and they'd be saying, oh, this happened at work.
Oh, I feel really stressed.
Oh, I haven't had a minute to myself.
The kids are fevel.
I haven't been able to cook what I like this week.
It was just life stuff, life stuff.
And it was like, oh, I haven't had a chance to eat at work.
So I just had to eat when I got home and I was really hungry.
Then I ate away and then I had some chocolate and then it escalated and I feel really rubbish about myself.
It was things like that that I was hearing all the time, all the time.
And I realized it's like these women don't need like an hour in the gym to get fitter, healthier, stronger or to lose some weight.
They need help with their life.
And that wasn't a diet that they needed.
It wasn't more rules.
It wasn't more restraints put on them.
It was actually less restraints, less rules, and taking it back to them.
Taking it back to them because the people I work with, you are, you're a clever lady.
You are a clever lady.
And Like, I want to empower you to make decisions around food that your own body wants you to make.
It's not about disempowering, it's about empowering.
