So I traveled to the Serengeti Na- I lived in Tanzania for three and a half months, um, in 2017.
Was there on a study abroad trip, and we had the opportunity to go to the Serengeti amongst other national parks, but we were at the Serengeti for four days, three nights, and still to this day it is just the most jam-packed wildlife, incredible experience I've ever had in my life.
Uh, full of safaris and, you know, camping at night and, you know, kinda being off the grid, just no service.
But when you think about what we see on a daily basis, right? Like here where there's a lot of people and, you know, we have to drive all the way to southern Illinois just to, you know, see a couple snakes.
Being able to be in a place that's just so biodiverse and full of a high density of predators and prey and everything, um, so special.
Uh, we're just gonna go over a little bit of what the Serengeti is for people who may not be as familiar, but it is in Tanzania.
So for people who have seen those videos of all the wildebeest crossing the, uh, the Mara River, right? And getting torn to shreds by, uh, Nile crocodiles, that is the Serengeti National Park.
So it's known for the Great Migration, where there's about 1.5 million wildebeest migrating from the southern to northern ends.
You got a lotta, lot of those big predators, which people are always going out to see, myself included.
