Kahlil Gibran in *The Prophet* wrote, “Work is love made visible.” That’s a beautiful description also of why and how we practice. What orientation is needed in this moment right now for practice to…
One of my favorite quotes that's been with me since high school comes from The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran.
"Work is love made visible.
Work is love made visible." For all of these years with this mind-heart practice, I would just change one word in that quote.
Practice is love made visible.
Practice this experiment, this practice, this learning, this opening to this moment now is an enacting of love.
If there is some way we are relating to the, to the reality, if there is some way we're relating to the reality of what's here in this moment now that's not loving, there's a way we've misunderstood practice.
Practice is love made visible.
That means that everything that's here in this moment, the aversion, the judgment, the crazy mind, the pain, the sorrow, the worry, the anxiousness, the playfulness, the joy, the happiness all of it is meant to be met with love.
That's what we're practicing.
Practicing learning to allow love to infuse its wholesome healing goodness into whatever is here right now.
And from that lens, the possibility of fully opening and allowing a willingness to know, to be awake and aware to all that's here is available.
There's nothing to be ashamed of.
Nothing to be ashamed of.
This moment is this.
What's this in this moment for you? And how do you practice allowing it to be met with the love that is here?
