During our last session, we established that Count Radamanthus and Lord Boleros of the Phoenix Freehold were romantically entangled, but trying desperately to keep it a secret from everybody else.
At this point, however, it is an open secret.
They're doing a terrible job of hiding it, and as Midsummer approaches, they are both seized by fae moods that are only making it and everybody else's lives much more difficult.
They have political aspirations, and they have political enemies.
In an effort to help them out and maybe make your own lives easier, you have conspired to put a stop to all this secret keeping and get them to openly propose to each other.
Through a bit of recollection, Lucas has recalled that Boleros has known both of them since he was young and has always been an adventurous sort, if a bit of a scaredy-cat, someone who's very edgy but too scared to go into the graveyard alone kind of person.
The next question is going to be, how are you going to be getting them together? Off camera, we decided that the best way to do it would be some combination of Midsummer, which is a high point celebration for the Seelie Court when emotions run wild, and Pride Month celebration, which, hey, is just a good time all around, and this would be a queer couple.
So why not figure out some sort of party, get the two there, and try to get them to confess their love publicly? The trick is organizing it, getting them to attend, and dealing with threats.
You know that you do not have time to do everything, in part because forces will move at their own rate, and in part because I'm only planning on doing three sessions of this adventure.
So today's session will be about seeing how many things you can knock out.
Being unable to meet and deal with every faction or individual does not mean that you fail to organize things.
It just means you have more complications to deal with when we actually get together.
So we return ourselves to Purcell's Cozy Bar, the corner booth the three of you have, your meals mostly finished, Thassania deep in your cups by now, Purcell having continued to bring you whatever you desired and seemingly okay with how intoxicated you are becoming, and moving towards plans of who you're all gonna talk to first.
And I would love it if the three of you could keep your characters together so I have less spotlight working to do.
