with frail and finite people and he wants to move through you as a Christian he will he pours out gifts and he wants he wants as you commune with him that you partner with him in the work that he's doing in the world and and he calls these Sunday gatherings he calls us to come together to worship to sit under the word of God to to remember Jesus his life death and resurrection and the bread and the wine he calls to baptize he calls us to make disciples to to go to all nations to And make disciples of Jesus.

And these local churches all over the city and all over the world, these are the expressions of his body.

And so we gather together like this because this is an integral part of what it means to belong to him.

And when we assemble like this, As a church in a location like this, the presence of God, we're told, is among us in a very unique and special way.

And so what we want to just be very careful about and very careful not to do is to take his presence for granted or to trample on it or just to move through a program or a liturgy too fast.

As we go back and we leave the assembly, we leave the scattered, excuse me, the gathered church and we scatter back into the city this next week, we want to go more empowered by Jesus' life, death, and resurrection.

We also are told in Scripture that we have an enemy who seeks to kill, steal, and destroy, who prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour.

And that enemy, he lies to us, and the world lies to us, and our own corrupt natures lie to us.

And the world knows this, right? There's been so much brain science work done in the last few decades.
