These are the three questions you have to ask the person that you're dating, or if you're in a relationship, you absolutely need to be asking these questions ASAP.

This needs to be reevaluated in relationships, okay? Because there's relationships that I thought we were wanting the same thing.

I thought that we both wanted to get married or not married, and then somebody changes their mind or has this new awakening in life because what? We grow as human beings, and we have new experiences, and we don't always grow at the same rate as our partner.

But if you're dating and you're single and you're intentionally wanting to find that person, asking what you're looking for is massive because right there you are creating the intention.

Why are we going on this date? What's the point of even hanging out together? And their answer in dating can tell you so, so, so much.

And if you're like, "Karla, what are attachment styles?" I do episode on this attachment style stuff actually a good amount episodes back, but you can find it all there.

When you are looking to date somebody who is in a secure attachment, who's like two feet in, intentionally dating, ready to do the damn thing, isn't gonna be scared if you guys don't have things in common 'cause they'll be like, "Okay, it just wasn't a fit," isn't gonna try to paint red flags green out of scarcity of, "Oh my God, I'm never gonna be with somebody," isn't gonna be one foot in, one foot out, okay? You see what I'm saying? When you ask this question- From a secure standpoint, 'cause that is the goal, everybody wants to try to date from a secure place of dating, when you ask this question and the other person is avoidant, they're gonna put a little buffer in there.

"I like to take things really slow, but eventually, you know, I would like to f- you know, meet my person," or whatever.

"Oh, well, you know, I'm looking for something serious, but I like to start as friends first." It all sounds good 'cause you hear the word serious, they give you the anchor, but there's always some kind of like, eh, little hand in front, a little buffer here and there, and that is not what you want.

Now, when you're in a committed relationship and you reevaluate or maybe you never asked this question, you guys just kind of became a couple and that was it.

And that happens to a lot of people without actually talking about what they're looking for.

This is also key because you wanna find out from your partner, are we on the same page? Now, this is where it's really important in relationships when you ask this question, and I want anybody who's dating right now to really listen up to this piece because this is key here, because eventually in dating, this is what's going to be needed as well.

If that person says, "Yes, I do eventually wanna get married, like, that's why I'm in this relationship with you," great.
