Heather Hitchcock went from a top-150 MLM income earner making $30,000 a month, to a single mom on government assistance, to the founder of Royal Roofing in Houston, Texas. In this episode of Can’t…
Um, tell me a little bit, let's dig into that a little bit, because I think that when I talk to other owners, it's like, God, marketing so expensive.
And I know from like the roofing space versus the, um, versus like HVAC plumbing electrical.
Like, I feel like it's a little bit different lead type, uh, you know, unless there's like water raining down in your living room.
So lead sources are a little bit, little bit different, at least from my experience.
So like what outside of just letting everybody know, like what were some of the other tactics that you use to like drum up business? Because as we talked before, you went from like zero to like in six months, you're doing, you know, almost a roof every single day, which I know from experience, that was a little bit harder said than done.
Oh, my God, when is this thing going to go? But tell me about that, because I think that could be super beneficial to someone listening that's, you know, maybe struggling to generate the business and different things like that.
Yeah, so when I came into the space, very quickly I realized homeowners have zero, most of them have zero clue anything about their roof.
We're trusting Joe Blow at the door or on the phone in a city or in a state, rather, that has no regulations.
And that has become a really powerful lane for me to build credibility, teach people about their property, and then draw the curiosity to actually call me out so that I can give them a clean bill of health on their roof.
So I implemented some core values at Royal and my core values are not like a picture on the wall that we just point to and everybody's like, oh, cool.
Every person that comes on my team has to memorize them and send me a video of what they mean to them and their words.
