Cal Thomas Commentary 10-23-26

There's a new book out called Ladies' Man, The Careless Heart of John F. Kennedy.

We've known about Kennedy's various affairs and adulteries for years, but in this book by Lawrence Leamer, we learn more than we ever knew.

And once again, ask why and how the media would cover up so much of this to protect Kennedy.

Lemur interviews many of the women still alive.

It's sorted stuff, so I'll spare you most details.

One woman said Kennedy told her he loved her more than Jackie.

This was allegedly said while Jackie was pregnant.

There remains an idolatrous feeling about the Kennedy family, especially the men.

Starting from the patriarch, Joe Kennedy, and running through virtually all male Kennedys, there was a violation of marriage vows, and in JFK's situation, a careless attention to national security.

One of his women, Judith Exner, was also having affairs with Chicago gangland members.

I doubt the media will pay much attention to the book, except perhaps conservative media, but character matters in all of us, especially in a president.

I'm Cal Thomas.
