James Talarico, the Democrat nominee for Senate from Texas, appeared on a CNN town hall Wednesday night and tried an old Bill Clinton trick when the subject of abortion came up.

A woman describing herself as Catholic confronted Talarico, saying abortion violates the commandment not to murder.

Talarico claimed the Bible is silent on abortion.

He made the predictable comment about wanting to limit the procedure.

The follow-up should have been, "Why limit abortion if it's not human life?" There are other verses that refer to God knowing us before we were formed in our mother's womb.

Jeremiah One, the occasion when a pregnant Elizabeth visited her pregnant cousin Mary, and the unborn John the Baptist leaped in her womb.

Elizabeth said, "How am I so honored that the mother of my Lord should come to visit me?" Notice she didn't say potential Lord, but my Lord, present.

The media described Talarico as a seminary student, but it's a very liberal seminary and more worldly than biblical.
