'Brand New Birth' - Ps Laura Sasikumar

Well, that's what we are covering during this new sermon series, much like a butterfly experience.

We have been transformed as new creations in Christ Jesus.

Hey, the old has gone.

The caterpillar is dead.

The old has gone and the new has come.

We glorify Jesus in all of his majesty and glory.

like those beautiful butterflies.

And guess what? We are meant to fly in freedom, not in slavery to anything, but in beautiful freedom, giving glory to God in all that we do.

And say, isn't that true? Paul says, if anyone is in Christ, the old has gone, the old is dead and buried, and the new has come.

This is not just about forgiveness of sins.

This is not just about letting go of the past.

And it's wonderful that the Lord forgives us of that.

But we're in a new state of reality right now.

We're in a new reality, and we have a new future in Christ.

The challenge is for us to learn to live in the new way, in our new being, as new creations, to live in this new way as new creations, giving glory to God.

Well, today we're going to be reading about Nicodemus.

And many of you might know Nicodemus.

And he was a Pharisee during that time.

He was a part of the Jewish High Council.

Boy, this was a man of status and of wealth.

And, you know, he prided himself in his position for he had followed all of the rules and regulations to get him that specific status.

status and title amongst others.

He was part of the Sanhedrin and he during that time would have been well known in the community.

And so he goes at night where not many people can see him.

He had heard about Jesus and perhaps he had even seen miracles taking place and he wondered in his heart how this could be because he followed all of the rules and regulations.
