Episode 748: Onion Baby

So I'll start this off.

So I've been busy and I've been overwhelmed and all these things, but I feel like there's always a little part of my brain that's off spinning on like, am I being a good person? publisher? Am I being a good member of the industry? A good designer? All of these things.

And not like a good designer, like this game is good, but how am I fitting in community? And I started my company with a lot of goals around the things I want to do, how I want to be different from other publishers and stuff like that.

And I'm also running into the headwinds of You know, there's some economic realities.

There's some, you know, I don't have infinite money.

I don't have infinite time.

Right.

All of these things.

And so as I struggle with this, I hit up various friends in moments when I'm feeling feeling low.

Right.

And at some point, Dave and I were talking about the sort of complexities of how like things are.

things are interacting, right? And I think, David, you said something about multiple things can be true at the same time.

And that sort of hit me very well, right? And I was like, that's a kind of cool conversation.

Maybe we want to bring this over onto the podcast as well.

So we are here to talk about all of the weird things that maybe can be true at the same time.

And like, I don't know how we're sort of working together and, you know, there's probably going to be some like sad headwinds in here.

And also just, I don't know, a lot of feelings probably.

I have a lot of feelings, but yeah, I don't know.

That's my, that's my intro.

I think the first thing that

popped into my head when you said that was what we were just talking about, which is that if you let Facebook do AI on your ads, they will perform better because Facebook will make them perform better.

And yet they'll also be worse.

Both true.

I think, I don't know that they will actually perform better.
