Episode 744: Days of Yore

So this episode was born out of a conversation we had last night, actually, right? Or two nights ago? Yeah, well, a bit a

week ago by the time you guys are hearing this, but

yeah.

Two nights ago in the Discord server, we were on the weekly meetup call at 8, and It was just you in there and you pinged me and were like, is no one coming? And I was like, oh, I'm actually sitting right here.

So I popped in and you and I just started chatting because we didn't really have updates to give.

So we just chatted for a while.

And you were talking about how being a listener from so, so long ago and then coming back.

And were you in the discord server before? Like, cause I don't remember when that actually started because for a long time, it was just Neil Roberts running the discord server and I was there, but I wasn't really doing anything with it.

No, I took a full 10-year step back from game design, almost all gaming stuff, just to take care of my kids.

And while they were little, I stepped back.

And now that they're all in high school, I jumped back in head first, feet first, everything first.

And I'm like, hey, the best thing I remember was building the game podcast.

That's where the community was.

That's where...

I got my news.

That's where I got everything.

So I looked it up and I'm like, there's no such thing as Google voice anymore.

There's no such thing as G like any of that stuff anymore.

So I had to figure it all out all over again.

And I'm like, What happened? Everything is

different.

There's no Rob.

There's no Google Voice.

There's the Discord.

Okay, we're going to go with the Discord and try to figure out what's going on.
