So, as some listeners and builders know, I kind of took a I went to a lot of events this year.

I didn't really go to anything last year because of health issues, and so this year I went to too many things, which is fine.

And in July, I did like a back-to-back protospiel weekends sandwiched around a trip to Minneapolis with some more playtesting, including playing some stuff with Joe Kell and some other people who hang out on the Discord and stuff like that.

And so there were some things that happened this summer that I was reflecting on.

I've been driving mostly because it gives me more control than flying right now.

So the trips to Minneapolis and St. Louis and things like that are, you know, in the 12 to 18 range for, for me from Pennsylvania.

So I also had a lot of time to think and as well as design new ideas for stuff.

So as these things happened, I kind of like, yeah, I had some opinions about some stuff that happened to me, I guess is the best way to say it.
I've never heard you have an opinion before Roscoe.

I know I tend to be an opinionated person, but yeah, These were opinions that, yeah, so to set the stage, I have a shirt that I bought online, and I have two of them, but the one says, it's a blue shirt, and it has three rows of letters, and it just says, believe there is good, which is a cool thing to put on a shirt, in my mind, and then in a highlighted color over top of that, it says, be the good person.

And so that's what we're going to talk about this episode is how we can all be the good.

I think I would say I'm fortunate to be a part of this Discord community that Jason has built.

And I think that like compared to some other spaces and groups of people, the people on the Builder Discord are like already doing a great job of this.

Part of – yeah, and part of this is – so one thing I want to be clear, and I'm going to talk about a mistake or two that I made this summer as well.

This is not meant to be judgmental or – holier than thou or anything like that these are things that i've been trying to do better at so
these are

ideas and things that i think we can all do um and you might not agree and that's fine um but they're things that i think are good and that we we can all do and so um even if you disagree i would hope that there's some concepts in here that you can reflect on yourself about how you interact with people in the board game design community.
