and where the like messy middle tends to really really really trigger a perfectionist identity the subconscious beliefs the fears and all of that stuff and where it will hold that back in you from being able to create momentum and move forward towards the things that you want and desire because it's not laid out perfectly And speaking of like podcasts and it not being perfect is it's funny because I have seen this so often in so many women and for an example i had asked somebody like months and months ago um if they wanted to be on the podcast i said you know like the work that you're doing is so good i'd love to have you i wanted to get her visible i wanted to support her and help her and she was like yes i'd love to i'd love to and then like three times put it off because She wasn't ready is what she would tell herself and tell me like, I'm not ready.

episode which means that she has been holding herself back from a level of visibility and sharing her message and her expertise for months okay that's just one little tidbit of where she is holding herself back in her business in her success in her life because of the perfectionist mindset um and if she was able to be like yeah like i'm a perfectionist and i see that but i'm gonna like do it messy because i'm gonna trust myself and my gifts and like what i know she could have been on like five podcasts and signed like 20 clients by now okay not that you know that's not possible without that but you you get where i'm going with that and i could have held back from recording this podcast episode, because, you know, I didn't have all my notes laid out, I didn't have everything perfect, I didn't have, you know, step by step things in here, and it's not going to be this perfectly laid out podcast, and then maybe I wouldn't have done it at all.

And so this is just a reminder of where, if we allow it to, the perfectionist will hold us back from the things that actually move the needle forward.

But the part that I want to talk about today specifically with the perfectionist identity, the perfectionist mindset, is when you are in the messy middle and how triggering that can be for the nervous system, for you to be able to create momentum where things are not perfectly laid out.

You're in a transition season where you... you know, you don't really know what's happening or it feels messy in your home or in your life or in your business and it's not perfect and there's not outside validation and it can feel really like staggering and stalling because you don't know how to move forward when it is not perfect.

I've seen this inside my mastermind and outside overflow with one-on-one clients.

But this particular instance is just so profound and happens to so many of us, especially as we go through different seasons of life and that perfectionist wants to grasp so hard onto the things that we feel like we can control and needing it to be perfect.
