So let's start with recapping the month of May.
In the month of May, I played nine rounds of golf, and over those nine rounds of golf, I averaged 90 strokes.
Right on the money, 90.00. That was a 44.67 on the front, 45.33 on the back.
The good news is, from a year-to-date perspective, I had my best month of the year in terms of greens in regulation, averaging 4.78 greens in regulation per round.
The best of that coming on May 24th, where I hit seven.
The worst of it on May 16th, where I hit one.
But still an improvement over the month of April, where I was at 4.22.
The month of March at 4.25, February at 3.70, and January at 3.20.
So that number is moving in the right direction.
From a scoring standpoint, the 90 is my second-best month of the year.
Better than the month of April, that came in at 91.11.
Better than February, that came in at 93 and a half, and better than January, that came in at 93.6.
But two strokes off my best month of the year, which was March, where I averaged 88 strokes per round.
And the big difference in looking at that is putting.
In the month of March, I averaged 31.88 putts per round.
In the month of May, I averaged 32.89 putts per round.
So that largely makes up for it.
And another amazing thing when I look at the month of April, I...
Same exact average.
In the month of April, I averaged 32.89 putts per round, exact same as the month of May.
So I'd say that's pretty consistent.
I'm not sure what to make of that, but it's hard to say that while I have my ups and downs, my best putting day of the month was 26 putts.
My worst was 38 putts.
But again, you take out the highs and lows, and you look at the average, and that's where I'm at.
I'm averaging 32.89 putts per round.
