Cody Miller was the Atlanta Braves 3rd round pick back in 2025 out of East Tennessee State University. He enjoyed a successful first full season of professional baseball and he joins Ben and Ryan to…
Cody MillerGuestBenHostRyanHostSo watching you all year, one of the things that I've reached on breaking it down to people is that you're an old school dog.
You're a grinder.
You, you, Just play the game.
That's one of the things that I like most about you.
And you've already proven your glove plays at third base.
It plays at short.
It plays at second.
Where doesn't your glove play?

I mean, there's obviously places that I haven't played before in my life, like some outfield spots left.

I haven't caught much, but if they were to say, hey – you need to catch i mean at some point in my career maybe it would come to that but i'm not sure i hope not but really i'll just play anywhere it doesn't doesn't matter to me if you give me the work there and i'll be able to give it what i got
you're one of those guys that i like to say if you look up the word ball player in the dictionary you know your picture will be right there next to it because you just go out there and like a dirt dog you know i mean that biggest best compliment possible because you guys like i said i was a pitcher and i loved guys who went out there and just work their tails off to be the best they could possibly be on defense and everything like that.
Next question.
What goals did you accomplish this year? Or were there any that you felt, you know, you kind of fell a little bit short on?

And obviously, like, my numbers this year weren't what I would have liked them to be.

Defensively, I think I proved a lot to be able to play at all three of those positions and play good defense at all three was good for me because I didn't let the offensive part struggle affect the rest of my game.

Mentally, that was good for me to be able to go out there and whether I was hitting or not hitting, to be able to make plays behind those pitchers.
