Ryan and Ben are BACK to tell you all about this week in Braves Minor League Baseball. This was the last week of the season for the Augusta Greenjackets and the Rome Emperors so it was a sad week but…
On Tuesday, we had Caleb Kline.
He went one for three with two RBIs and a walk.
So far at that point in time, he was hitting .328 with a .782 OPS.
He's played pretty well since being drafted.
I'm thoroughly enjoying watching him.
The power hasn't necessarily been there, but he's been hitting well.
Then you got Nick Montgomery, who just cranked his eighth homer.
Two for four with a walk.
Connor Essenberg, who, goodness gracious, we will get into because he had himself a heck of a week.
One for three, one RBI, a double, stolen base, and a walk.
The only run in the game for him was a home run in the top of the second, so a very good outing for him.
He has been very, very impressive this year.
Ryan, what do you have on Cam?
I mean, he showed he belongs.
Even though he's had a couple starts that started off rough early, he's just a dog, a fighter that comes back to settle down and starts mowing people down.
He has shown he deserves top prospect status.
Oh, yeah,
yeah,
and I'm still of the mindset that he's not our number one overall prospect, but he is definitely top three.
He has been very, very good all year long, and he has proven just now that they've kind of opened up his arsenal and let him start getting back to throwing his slider and, you know, the other pitches that made him him, you know, whenever he was drafted, he's really, really impressed and come along quite nicely.
After Cam Caminiti, we got Adam Zebrowski, who went yard twice, and that won't be the only time that we say that he went yard this week.
