Matt Powers joins Ryan and Ben to talk ALL things Braves Minor Leagues with the new draftees making their debuts and many returning faces making big impacts across the board from Tuesday-Sunday…
You know, as always, for those of you who don't know, the minor leagues are always off on Mondays.
They never have games on Mondays.
They start their week Tuesday.
They go through Sunday.
So, we're going to start off with Tuesday.
He debuted.
And what a debut it was for him.
He went two for five with a stolen base.
I mean, those guys look pretty good down there.
And it's nice to see from Juan Mateo coming back after struggling for, you know, a good little amount of time.
But I know Ryan is very, very high on his hit tool.
And what did you see from him so far in the past few days, Ryan?
He's so patient.
He's really good at waiting for his pitch.
He doesn't overexpand.
He doesn't overswing, like even on his home run.
He took a couple pitches before he launched it, and that was one of the hardest balls I've seen him hit this year.
There was no doubt that ball was way out of the park.
So I'm glad to see him finding more power, but still staying so patient and picky at the plate.
Well, good deal.
Good deal.
We are moving on up to Rome.
