Ever notice the same relationship, same conflict, or same self-sabotage showing up again and again — like it's happening THROUGH you, not just TO you? In this episode of Boundless Authenticity, I sit…
What are some ways that you see society and culture hold people in bondage?
I think it's safety and fear.
To me, it all comes back to the fact that if you look at the state of the world, you're born and then you hear a story and then you go to school and then they're going to teach you whatever it is in school.
And the school system is pretty similar pretty much everywhere in the world right now.
And then you're going to get stuff from your parents, from, you know, all of this is going to be transferred to you.
And all of this story is going to, all of this information is going to create a story.
And that story is going to, this is what is going to make us in bondage with whatever we can
be with people, with work.
Whatever is going to feel safe.
That's why we feel, oh, I'm going to bond with that person because it feels safe.
You know, it doesn't trigger anything within me.
It feels safe.
So I'm just going to stay there.
But growth is all about going to the ages.
It's all about knowing yourself and being willing to go when it's not comfortable.
That's the only way.
And I think growth is the natural state of the world.
You know, when you look at the world around us, nature is constantly growing.
When we stop growing, that's when we start to suffer.
And that's what we call a crisis because we just stop growing.
So to me, it's really the story we've been told.
What if there's another story? What if there is another way? What if there is something else that they didn't share about us, about who we are as human beings, what it means to be human, what we're capable of doing and how we are.
As you said before, we are the architect of it, not the victim of our life.
What if we were told this story when we were young? Do you think the world would change? Do you think the next generation will have a very different experience collectively? I do believe so, right?
Earlier, you mentioned tools like meditation, etc.
