For a while, we were waiting to see if you can play Console games, essentially with like PC Game Pass or something like that.
So kicking off the major game preservation initiative, they got some of the OG Xbox games working on Windows desktops.
blinks the time sweeper conquers live and reloaded crimson skies high road to revenge and the multiplayer favorite uh fusion frenzy and those are all available on game pass so if you have game pass you can play them on your on your pc you can also stream them using xcloud um But yeah, it also works with Xbox Play Anywhere, Crossplay, or also digital purchases.
I don't know if there's any other games yet that maybe games that aren't on Game Pass that if you paid for, you can play it.
But I played a bunch of Crimson Skies High Road to Revenge, which is... surprisingly an awesome game, especially since I'm coming from playing some of the Ace Combat games from PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 era.
If you like that kind of like dogfighting combat, it's almost like kind of an open world kind of thing.
But beyond natively porting these titles, the program adds modern PC enhancements.
And they're promising that they're going to retroactively add achievements to these old Xbox games, which is very, very cool.
Um, uh, the only stuff that looks dated is of course, like the, if there's like pre-rendered video, that's still like four 80 P or what have you, uh, or I think it's still interlaced.
So it kind of looks grimy, but then the actual 3d gameplay itself looks really sharp and great, uh, on a computer screen.
