Halloween Storytime: "The Man in the Black Hoodie"

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Bookmarked.

Today, in the spirit of Halloween and it being October...

Draco and I thought it might be fun to read a spooky story from one of our past These Haunted Hills anthologies, which for those of you who don't know, These Haunted Hills is Jen Carroll Publishing's annual Halloween anthology featuring a collection of spooky short stories from a variety of super talented writers.

Today we're going to be reading a story from last year's anthology, which was These Haunted Hills, Book 7.

The story comes from Jeff Geiger Jr., who some of you may know from his two novels, The White Room and Mama's Boys.

Jeff's story is called The Man in the Black Hoodie, and it's pretty creepy.

So we really hope you enjoy it and that it puts you in the mood for fall and all things Halloween.

But Draco, I'm so glad we could do this together.

I love getting to talk about our These Haunted Hills collections, and I think you wanted to kick off our reading today.

I do, and I am also excited to share this story with everyone.

I know we've read some from many of our These Haunted Hills collections in the past on our podcast, and I think that everybody loves getting a sneak peek into these anthologies.

And I think that this series is definitely one of our most beloved series that we have, not just among us here at JCP, but also among our readers.

So I am very excited to kick this off.
