I'm actually going to start with how I found the VA industry, how it changed my life, the lessons I've learned, and then we'll really dive into what it looks like to be a virtual assistant, how the industry works, all of that.

when i was home with my kids and i don't know a lot of you too right like we love being home with the kids we're so grateful to be a mom to have that spaciousness or maybe you're wanting to be home with your kids but there is always this itch this desire this urge that you want something of your own too And yes, the money is amazing, right? Like I wanted to be able to walk through Target and just buy a rug, buy a lamp, buy my kids a toy and not feel guilty or not be like, ooh, let me do the mental math here to make sure that I can do this or...

that my husband won't be like why did you like what were you thinking why did you spend all of this money like i just wanted to walk through target honestly that was my biggest desire um but also you probably like me have this just itch to like build something of your own you see other women doing it and you think why not me like why can't i have an amazing business from home So that was me five and a half years into being a stay at home mom.

I worked in direct sales and my husband was like, all that time and energy you're putting into someone else's business.

spent 2k on it and it gave me a lot of clarity but i also was like wow there's just so much in the business world to learn and do and sales and marketing and all of that good stuff so for six months i showed up i made little offers i decided i wanted to go into mom confidence coaching because it seemed like the most logical thing um And in six months, I earned a total of $132.

And so at that point, I started applying for roles, full-time roles, which was heartbreaking, because it was like, wow, I'd have to give up stay-at-home motherhood.

So in the middle of that, I found a role on Indeed for 15 hours a month with a life coach out of California.
