I think there is a specific kind of heartbreak nobody really talks about, and when I ask my guests on-- come on the podcast, I always ask the four Hs, and one of them is heartbreak.

It's the love affair that we have with our life that I'm talking about, the o- life that you have worked really hard to build, and then you quietly realize it no longer fits you anymore.

You may be waking up at, like, 2:00 in the morning and just being like, "Is this really it?" And not because it's bad or because you're ungrateful, but because suddenly you just have somewhere underneath all of that competence, all the routines, responsibility of holding everything together, there is this deep part of you that whispers, "There has to be more than this." And the strangest part, most women override that feeling instantly and call it stress or hormones, burnout, being tired, a phase.

Anything except the truth, and I think it's because the truth is inconvenient, and the truth might ask us to change.
