Today, our Earl Scruggs Music Festival highlight is an incredible conversation I had with Jerry Douglas.
The man has so many facets, and we covered so many topics that we talked for hours.
Okay, so as far as Liz is concerned, I know she's up at Silver Bay, but I also know she's getting ready for her Wernick Method Jam Camp up in Warwick, New York, September 25th through 27th.
as for myself well hyper locally swamp in the city is presenting a mini festival on saturday august 29th at jalopy theater it's going to be amazing three o'clock we kick off with the workshops is going to be dance workshop so if you don't know how to do your two steps and waltzes just yet Well, you're going to get to work with Sarah Duran, and she will make sure you know.
We'll get to sit and do a culture session with Jordan Thibodeau, who's an amazing ambassador for Cajun culture and language.
We're going to put on our dancing shoes, go out on the dance floor, and two-step and waltz the night away to the Tex-Maniacs and Jordan Thibodeau and the Rodailleurs.
so hope to see you there it's going to be a ton of fun and of course getting ready for our residency at the earl scruggs music festival which is in millspring north carolina september 4th through 6th we'll be there collecting stories on earl's impact on you musically and personally we'll be involved with leading jams we'll be hanging out meeting people and doing all that podcast stuff And in between, doing some jamming and listening to the music.
