It is obviously a pretty tough time for our football club at the moment, and especially as fans of the football club.
And at the time of this recording, the investigation into the five Swans players is still very much in its infancy, I would imagine.
in any way whatsoever what has happened in that room in any way that I can confidently say.
So that's not necessarily my place to be commenting on that while there's a police investigation going on.
But one thing that I can comment on is the football side of things and specifically the culture side of things of which this podcast is so much about.
And for that reason, I had ummed and ahed about whether I would release some of these episodes that were already recorded prior to this police investigation ever becoming a matter.
I thought, is now the right time? Do I just hold off? Do I let some dust settle? And then I thought, you know what? If there's ever a time in history where the Bloodlines podcast could be adding its piece of value to the community that is hurting a lot right now, Now would be that time.
We still have a club that cares so much about its fans, that cares so much about its rich history, and that genuinely wants to put a smile on the faces of everyone who walks into that club or has anything to do with it.
And for that reason, I would love to release the episodes that we have recorded and ready to go for the rest of this 2026 season.
And I'll just put this recording here that you're hearing right now at the start of each one, just to frame it up to suggest that everything that you're hearing was recorded prior to the police investigation that is still ongoing as we speak today on the 25th of August, 2026.
