Week 1 Eagles vs Commanders with Kiwi Glenn

I'm going to take offense as a general all-rounder.

I thought overall reasonably underwhelming.

You could call it a warm-up game.

Jalen's stats were something like 4%.

14 of 25 or something for 200 yards it was very ordinary throwing um very ordinary running um but we got it home because it was very ordinary from the commanders as well

yeah so i i think i'm gonna say at a 10 000 foot view i thought both defenses played really well um obviously we expect to be a good defense this year but the commanders come in with a new defensive scheme new defensive coordinator and a lot of new talents and i was impressed with their defensive scheme Now, we've talked about this in previous shows.

The Eagles are installing a new offense.

Actually, the Commanders, I believe, are installing a new offense.

So there's a lot of new happening on the field tonight.

And the Eagles' offense looked like a new offense.

And, you know, Jalen Hurts made some big plays when he had to.

First off, Jalen looks faster than he's looked in a few seasons.

On his legs.

I mean, he saved the night.

There's a couple of first downs he got, and he got himself out of trouble.

There were no turnovers.

He threw the ball out when there wasn't a good throw.

It wasn't a good option on the table.

So I thought he played, although he didn't have many connections downfield, he played a good, safe game and great legs.

He did.

Like that third and 18 run he had late in the game with eight minutes to go.

I mean, that leads to a Dallas Goddard 43-yard touchdown catch was huge.

And that was all just like off schedule, Jalen breaking the pocket, making a play.

Let's talk about newcomer Dontavian Wicks.

So there's obviously some new faces on offense, but number 13, Dontavian Wicks, who is, you know, I'm not going to call him the A.J. Brown replacement, more like he's the Devontae Smith replacement.
