John Rossi of Valley Charities joins host Mike Chmielewski to talk about the Valley Charities 2026 online auction, “Leaves of Change.” Listen in as they discuss the purpose of the online auction and…
Mike ChmielewskiHostWell, I, I wanna let people know about our, uh, Leaves of Change auction that we have going on right now.
And I, I, I talked a little bit about the endowment in the past, but if you don't mind, may I talk about it again?
Well, the endowment's focus is to help people that, uh, kinda fall through the cracks, don't get assistance from other grants that we have in the community.
And they help with things like a copay on a doctor bill, maybe paying portion of their repair on a vehicle or tires, uh, that they may need for their vehicle, a variety of different things that normally grants don't cover.
The board wants to reach over that, you know, 105,000 so that we can give out more significant grants to more people.
We're looking at hopefully activating that within the next year or so, but that's what the auction is for that we're doing right now.
Well, what you need to do is go to our website at www.valleycharities.org, and on the front page there's a, a picture link to register for the auction.
And once you sign up for it, you, you can be actively participating and bidding on various things.
Like, uh, for example, we've got a vintage Campbell collector's package from 1984.
