Let's look at the verses themselves and understand why people understandably think, "Hey, that's just automatically always wrong." So here is, um, Exodus 20 verse four.
It says, "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." That would be pretty self-explanatory right there.
Now, taken outside of any context, uh, this verse would actually prohibit not only images of... that would be of Jesus, maybe a painting, a drawing, something where you put like a, a...
But actually, the cross itself would be forbidden, and, and, and actually, when you draw a landscape, that's forbidden, 'cause that would be included in a very broad understanding of Exodus 20 verse four.
Um, on my desktop right now, I, I keep setting my desktop background to black, but, uh, the computer does not stick with this setting for some reason, so right now there's this cityscape with a beautiful sunset that's just, like, some default thing they keep changing my backgrounds.
