... as well, is you want longevity, let's look at peptides, let's look at biohacking.

For someone who has never heard the term epigenetics before, in everyday language, how would you explain it?

Simply put, i- i- it is looking at our behaviors and, and the environment and how that can influence how our genes behave.

Uh, so we do know that genes can be influenced by the way that we eat, the way that we think, the, the way that we support our health, and it can actually alter their function without changing the actual information inside it.

Think of it more as a, a, a dial getting turned down or up on a particular gene influenced by all those environmental inputs.

A- and this is what's so fascinating and, and powerful, but also a bit scary as well because we know that a lot of the wrong things can really affect how our genes function.

And if you're already somebody that's got vulnerable genetics, which we just inherit.

They don't change, but they can change how they behave based on epigenetics, and that's hugely influenced by our environment or the, the things that we're exposed to on a day-to-day basis, and it's constantly changing.

And the way that he describes it, but I'm gonna s- [chuckles] I'll paraphrase here.

What's he putting in the Petri dishes? Um, genes in a Petri dish in different environments, and one flourishes, one not so much.
