How is everybody doing today? You know, recently I've had a couple of cases where I've had sons and daughters...
asked me to investigate who their parents are dating.
So this episode, we're going to go with your mom or your dad is dating again, but who are they really dating, okay? So this is a very, very tough situation because in both of the cases I had, the mother and the father were worth money, they had money.
But that's usually the reason why younger people want to date somebody that's older you know one example was one case the person was 85 the other person was 60. i had one where the person was 85 and the girl was 40. so let's talk about this for a second you know you really need to think about that but let me give you some questions that you need to think about once somebody wants to date your mom or your dad okay the first one is how they meet do they meet through a dating app uh social media in person where they you know contacted unexpectedly find out how they how they met uh number two how quickly is the relationship moving is someone pushing love marriage moving in commitment very quickly um you know you deserve to take a closer look at this and see what's really going on is this really true love or is it something else uh number three are they starting to talk about money loans investments emergencies business opportunities or asking for your parents to help them financially or to maybe to buy some of your in some of the cases i worked on the persons were trying to um sell some of their property that they owned something to think about And number four, does their story check out? Job, marital status, criminal history, previous relationships, where they live.
Just basic information about who they are.
You know, I had one case once where the guy was still married, but he was living with somebody's mom.
And the mom felt sorry for him, but she was lonely.
So there you have it.
Number five are the isolating your parent.
This is very, very important.
Pay attention.
If a new person doesn't want their parents to talk to their family or becomes defensive when relatives start to ask questions, you've got a problem.
So these five points are very, very important.
These are questions that you need to ask as a family.
I'm going to go over them again.
Number one, how do they meet? Number two, how quickly is the relationship moving? Number three, are they starting to talk about money? Number four, does their story check out? And number five, are they starting to isolate your parents? These are very, very important questions that you need to ask when somebody starts to date your mother or your father.
And if they own a business or they have money, all these type of things, they may be in it for something else more than true love.
You want them to be in it for all the right reasons.
So do your investigations.
Don't be afraid to check these people out.
This is your mom.
This is your dad.
Check these things out, please.
You just never know.
And I've had some experiences recently in some cases where it didn't end well.
