A Christian Talks to Jehovah's Witnesses

Now, you can be blunt.

This place is a discussion where we just throw it out there.

It's fine.

We put the issues out here.

I don't take a personal offense.

But you said that everybody has the chance to be in paradise, even if you're not in the organization, but that's if you haven't heard.

So for somebody like me, I've been to a kingdom hall service and I've chosen, no, I do think Jesus is God.

And so I reject that in that way.

Is that I'm somebody that probably wouldn't have that chance then?

We can't really say only Jehovah can know your heart, but we do believe that you're a person old enough to be accountable and you've heard the truth.

And if you reject it, then Jehovah wouldn't.

Yeah.

I think the thing that people think, well, let me throw this one out here too.

This may be just random, but why are there no windows on your kingdom halls? Yeah.

um good question uh historically there really weren't and i think it's just basically to prevent distractions okay um there are some more modern kingdom halls being built that have like the glass bricks so there is sunlight penetrating into the building sure um and i've seen assembly halls also that we have clear glass and and not from the worship center itself but from the lunch areas and peripheral stuff, there are windows and stuff, but traditionally windows were definitely not a feature of most kingdom halls.

Yeah.

And I was wondering that once, and then somebody said, I think it's just cheaper to build or, you know, something like that.

So I didn't know if there was like a reason or a doctoral reason or not.
