yeah so the manning passing academy has been running for three decades what changed most about the quarterbacks who show up

oh that's a great question um Well, probably the first 10 years we had it, the quality of quarterbacks in high school was not that great because that was still common error when everybody was running the ball a little bit more.

And I think that was kind of the goal of the whole camp.

Peyton was reading these statistics on Saturday morning after high school games, people would go four for 10 and get beat badly.

It's like, why didn't you throw it if you were down by 28? So the quality of quarterbacking across the country is, has massively improved in high school, middle school, emergence of flag football has been fantastic for that.

And then also my dad every year invites this year, we had 45 starting college quarterbacks come and be counselors.

Also, we used to have five or 10 and the list has grown.

So we really have all the best quarterbacks in college come down and they act as counselors, but they also throw and, and, you know, Peyton and Eli work with them and talk to them and have every people that, you know, speak with them about what it takes to get to the next level and what have you.

And that quality has grown.

There is, there are so many good quarterbacks in college.

Now last year, this summer, it was awesome to see all these guys, but guys I'd never heard of it in cases who can really throw it.

So it's, it's a competitive world out there in the world of quarterbacking.

What, what quarterbacks are getting in there? Yeah.

Well, I mean, you can really look at every single NFL team.

I bet you we have someone who's been in the Manning Passing Academy all the way down to older guys like Matt Stafford, to Lamar Jackson, to Baker Mayfield, to Sam Bradford, to Colt McCoy, to Stetson Bennett, to Jalen Hurts.

I would say Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, they've all been to the Manning Passing Academy.

I do have a lot of NFL knowledge, but who's Stetson Bennett?

Stetson Bennett was kind of an overachieving quarterback for the University of Georgia as far as being a walk-on and kind of fighting his way up and then put together two phenomenal football seasons on great teams and won two national championships as the quarterback of the University of Georgia.

Did he go to the NFL?

He did.

He was a fourth-round pick, I believe, and he's with the Los Angeles Rams.

Nice.

Cool.
