It's like the backbone mountains of, can you call them mountains? Maybe hills, maybe mountains.

To chat to this week's guest, that is freelance enterprise consultant, Adrian Ashton.

hearing how you got started being freelance? It starts with me being professionally shafted by one of the country's leading national social businesses of the time.

And then just over 20 years ago, got approached by this company I decided to never name publicly, saying, we've heard about you.

Remember, this is an age before iPhones, social media, fax machines were the height of instant communication.

So the fact that they'd heard from me all the way up there showed there was something I was doing really interesting.

Recruited my successors, moved up north, to somewhere that I didn't know anyone, had no reputation, no network, no contacts.

Now I had that half second conversation in my head, which is, I know I can take them in a tribunal for this.
