And so it was important to me when I was writing this, and I have a sister myself, not a twin, an older sister, I should say.

But when I was writing these twins, it was important to me... that they not be polar opposites of one another necessarily.

I mean, Sadie is, again, homecoming queen, sort of your stereotypically popular kind of gal, but Jane is very cool and interesting.

I mean, she is not necessarily as popular as Sadie, but she is not some... quiet quote unquote nerd who's studying in the library all the time.
She's on the equestrian circuit, isn't she? She is, yes.
So there your love of horse riding came in.

And so it was fun to play with this idea that they're very different, but not necessarily polar opposites, but then also to be able to see the, Jane's point of view about sort of Sadie's hopes and dreams, which are very, in Jane's eyes, you know, basic.
