And in one of the articles, they tell this story, and I'm truncating this story just to get to this part of it.

And when he talks to the boss, the boss kind of plays it off, you know, not a big deal.

And he really felt like seen and heard and taken care of by her, like she was going to really address his grievance and handle it.

She basically sets it up to where she could fire him, and he couldn't complain about what happened.

It was really a long game, a manipulative play, and later on, though, He goes to college.

And then misquotes him as saying that he loves everything that she stands for and that I'm going to donate money, which he never said and which he never did.

But somehow, it was just in an article and in news, it was looked as if he was supporting her run for Senate.

Now, I'm sharing that story to say, a lot of workplaces set it up as we're your family, we're all together in this, we're stronger than blood.

And I think that in most of the times, in most instances, it feels like that, right? Because you're doing all of these activities together and You feel like family.

But in the moments where it's used to kind of control or manipulate, that can start to re-trigger our childhood traumas.

That can open up wounds that we try to move past, we try to build on through marriage and education and having kids and building a life.
