Compassionate Community Driven Design - Dave Mayo

Host Jake Favish sits down with Dave Mayo, founder of Studio Mayo, to discuss his work transforming spaces like the USA Cares call center — including the innovative undulating felt ceiling for acoustics — and how empathy and material choices shape his designs. Mayo shares his journey from a mountain upbringing to award-winning projects, his architect-led construction approach, and his mission to tackle local housing needs through ADUs and community-focused, cost-conscious design.
