This was one of my major strategies for handling so much news while I was battling stage four cancer.

And when I was diagnosed with cancer, my closest humor buddy was my five turning six-year-old.

What does that mean? It meant that we made a commitment to each other twice a day to make the other one laugh.

But I wanted to be very conscious that the two of us shared, and we still do, a bit of humor, comedy, and play every day, especially while I was going through so many years of cancer treatment.

So it really doesn't matter if it's your kid, it's your husband, your wife, your partner.

your neighbor, your colleague, your doctor, your nurse, your teacher, anyone can become your humor buddy.

I would love to know how you're using this strategy, who you're doing it with, and share your humor with me.
