If you've got lavender in your garden, now's the perfect time to give it a trim.
After flowering, lavender can start to look a little untidy, but a quick haircut will encourage some neat regrowth before the colder months set in.
This not only keeps your plants looking smart, but it also helps them withstand the ravages of winter and ensure they stay in good shape for years to come.
You can use shears if you've got a lot of lavender to tackle or secateurs for more precise shaping.
If you'd like to pick out any prunings, take them from within the shrub to make sure light gets to all the foliage.
